ESC President

Mister Florian Costache is the President of ESC and also the President of Romanian National Employers' Organisation.

The ESC President has the following main duties:

1. chair the ESC Plenary sessions and the Executive Bureau meetings;
2. represent the Economic and Social Council in its relations with third parties, in accordance with the decisions taken by the Executive Bureau or the Plenary session;
3. receive the ESC correspondence and decide upon its distribution;
4. coordinate the preparation of the ESC Plenary sessions, deciding upon the agendas;
5. carry out any duty assigned by the Plenary session or the Executive Bureau that aim at achieving the Economic and Social Council objectives.

Florian Costache Resume - President of ESC The Parliament of Romania appoints the president of the Economic and Social Council for a term of four years on the proposal from the ESC Plenary Session. The rotation procedure for the position of President is observed for each mandate term.
