The French Economic, Social and Environmental Council (EESC) has launched an opinion on building a Europe of health. The EESC's Committee on European and International Affairs wanted to consult another European Economic and Social Council on this subject with a view to drawing up its opinion as widely as possible. In this regard, the commission asked the President of CES Romania, Mr. Bogdan Simion, to express his opinion on this topic by answering a few specific questions in an online interview that took place on December 8, 2021 and lasted an hour and a half.

Between 15 and 20 November 2018, a delegation representing the Romanian Economic and Social Council (ESC) visited the Chinese Economic and Social Council (CESC) in Beijing, following the invitation addressed by CESC President, Mr. DU Qinglin, to Mr. Iacob Baciu, ESC and AICESIS President.

The partnership between the International Association of ESC-SIs (AICESIS), presided at present by the ESC of Romania, and the International Labour Organization (ILO) was marked by the organization on 23 and 24 October of an international seminar on the Digital Revolution, the main theme of the Romanian presidency of AICESIS.
The European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) organized in Athens, with the support of the Economic and Social Council of Greece (OKE), on 22 and 23 November 2018, the 12-th Civil Society Media Seminar on the topic of "Reasserting Europe’s Values". The event brought together communication experts and political scientists, press officers, journalists, EESC members, delegates of various European economic and social councils. Our institution was represented in this seminar by Anca Simitopol, expert in the International and Public Relations Department.
A delegation of the Economic and Social Council of Romania, headed by Mr. Iacob Baciu, President of the Romanian ESC and AICESIS President, and composed of Messrs. The European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) organized a seminar on "Connecting within the EU" in Lisbon on 18 and 19 November 2021 in Lisbon with the Portuguese Economic and Social Council on "What kind of Europe do you dream of? and the Conference on the Future of Europe ". The event brought together journalists, media officers, teachers and politicians who discussed actions considered important and necessary at EU level in the fields of health, economics, social justice and democracy.
Mr. Iacob Baciu, President of the ESC of Romania, accompanied by Ms. Eugenia Ștefănescu, Head of the International Relations Department, had a meeting with Mr. Guy Ryder, Director-General of the International Labor Organization, at ILO headquarters on July 2, 2018.

A video conference entitled the Euromed Summit of Economic and Social Councils and Similar Institutions, organized by the Euromed Monitoring Committee of the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC), took place on 26 November 2020 between 09:00 and 18:00. The Economic and Social Council of Romania was represented by Ms. Eugenia Ștefănescu, Director of the International Relations and Public Relations Department.
The European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) organized on 23 and 24 November 2017, in Madrid, at the headquarters of the Economic and Social Council of Spain, the 11th Civil Society Media Seminar, which focused on an issue that has gained visibility and relevance lately, that is media globalization in connection with the emergence and the development of social media. The event brought together communication specialists and political analysts, journalists, EESC members and representatives of different European Economic and Social Councils. Our institution was represented by Anca Simitopol, Expert in the International Relations Department.
The European Economic and Social Committee is the European institutional forum for consultation, representation and information of civil society and the place where the latter can express its views. The EESC offers to representatives of the economic, social and civic organizations of the Member States the opportunity to play a vital role in policy making and decision making at the level of the European Community.
